While you have plenty of choices for free information, it takes an incredible amount of your time to sift through all that information and separate facts from hype.

Then, as you progress beyond the basic housekeeping chores of setting up your online business, it is time for you to seek more marketing coaching for things like keyword research, long-tail versus primary keywords, optimizing your website, writing a high converting sale letter, building your mailing list, forming joint ventures and a host of other solid marketing advice.
Here again, you can start by taking baby steps. Look for a coach who offers email coaching at an affordable cost and who will answer your marketing question within 24 hours or less. They key here is for you to be as specific as possible in framing your question. Don't be tempted to ask a general question like "how can I make $1,000 by the end of the month?" You are likely to get a very generic answer that may not help you get there.
The next step up is to join some kind of a group coaching membership program. These typically cost around $47 to $97 a month and you interact with the marketing coach personally via email, online meetings and webinars. Sometimes such coaching memberships also offer a user forum where you get to interact with other members and get free advice that way.
The ultimate upgrade is the one-on-one coaching or mentoring where the marketing coach tailors the sessions to your exact business needs. This kind of a coaching program obviously costs a lot more but is well worth it if you are looking for more strategic marketing help that can really grow your online business.
Before you sign up for any one-on-one coaching, make sure you have an initial conversation with the coach. This is where you evaluate him/her to make sure there's a good fit. A good marketing coach will the do same with you, he/she wants to make sure they can work with you too. Don't be offended if the coach starts asking you some probing questions too.
Avoid chasing the proverbial rainbow on the Internet by seeking marketing advice from a proven Internet marketing coach. A truly productive coaching relationship will do wonders for your business and without the frustrations of wasting your time and money.
